Storing lighters during monsoon season

Mumbai monsoon is brutal on metal items. How do you protect your collection from humidity and rust during the wet months? My vintage pieces especially need protection.

Store in airtight containers with silica gel. I use those clip-lock food containers - cheap and effective.

Wax coating on brass pieces helps. Renaissance Wax is great - museum-grade protection without changing appearance.

Empty all fuel before monsoon storage. Fuel plus humidity accelerates corrosion.

Air circulation helps too. Don't pack them too tight. Some airflow reduces condensation.

Apply a light oil film on chrome pieces. I use sewing machine oil - doesn't leave residue and protects well.
