Butane torch lighter keeps sputtering - help!

My Xikar torch lighter has started sputtering and giving weak flame. It's only 6 months old. Tried bleeding and refilling but no improvement. Any ideas what could be wrong?

I had the same issue. Turned out I wasn't bleeding it completely before refilling. Bleed until NO sound, then fill.

Sometimes altitude affects butane lighters. Are you at a different elevation than when you bought it?

6 months is too soon for issues if properly maintained. Is the flame adjustment at the right level? Too low causes sputtering.

If nothing works, contact Xikar. Their warranty is excellent. They'll repair or replace without hassle.
